The Epson Tour annually awarded LPGA Tour Membership to the top 15 athletes in the Race for the Card rankings at the conclusion of this weekend’s Epson Tour Championship in California.

For the first time in Epson Tour history, 15 athletes earned their cards based on points ranking rather than money, similar to the LPGA Tour’s Race to CME Globe.

Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum scored a top-sixth finish in the Tours Champions to grab 12th place on the end-of-season ranking. This means she can get some starts without qualifying for the 2025 LPGA schedule.

The veteran from Thailand had not competed on the Epson Tour since the 2009 and 2010 seasons but made 10 Epson Tour starts in 2024.

Phatlum was a rookie on the LPGA Tour in 2009 and represented Thailand in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

“I’m so excited now. And I’m so happy that I’m finishing top ten this weekend. I got in the top 15 to get to the LPGA. So I’m really happy with my career this year,” Phatlum expressed her overwhelming joy and satisfaction.

Thailand will have ten players competing on the LPGA tour in 2025 and a further three on the Ladies European Tour.

Pornanong or Waen as she is known on tour is a role model to thousands of young Thai golfers and she has shown grit and determination this year, travelling the world to achieve her goals. Congratulations!!!
