The exquisite Mimosa Plus Golf Course lies nestled amidst the lush greenery and rolling hills of Clark Freeport Zone in the Philippines. This world-class golfing facility is known for its stunning landscape, challenging fairways, rich history, and significant relationship with the US Armed Forces.

The origins of the Mimosa Plus Golf Course can be traced back to the 1960s when the United States Air Force established its Clark Air Base in the region. At its peak, the base had over 15,000 personnel. With a strong tradition of promoting recreational activities for its military personnel, the US Armed Forces developed a golf course catering to the golf enthusiasts stationed at the base.

The golf course, originally constructed in 1969, was known as the Mimosa Golf and Country Club. It attracted military personnel and civilians alike. Mimosa was the only Philippine golf course that Tiger Woods visited, playing a one-on-one with then-Philippine No. 1 Cassius Casas in his first international exhibition.

The former US air base was damaged in 1991 by the eruption of Mount Pinatubo, and as a result, the US military abandoned the base and its 18-hole course and returned it to the Philippine authorities.Golf architecture firm Nelson & Wright was hired to design a completely new 36-hole golf complex on the former Clark Field.

Today, Mimosa Plus Golf Course is still a testament to the close bond between the US Armed Forces and the Philippines. The golf course not only provides a significant source of recreation but also serves as a reminder of the strong ties between the two nations.

What sets Mimosa Plus Golf Course apart from other golfing destinations is its meticulous attention to detail in course maintenance. Whether you are an amateur golfer or a seasoned professional, the course’s multiple tee boxes and strategically placed hazards challenge players of all skill levels.

The course is now spread across 77 hectares of rolling terrain and features 36 holes divided into the Acacia and the Lakeside. Both courses provide a unique blend of challenging holes, breathtaking views, and a serene atmosphere that allows golfers to connect with nature.

Mimosa Plus Golf Course also boasts exceptional facilities, including a driving range, putting greens, and a fully stocked pro shop. Additionally, the clubhouse offers excellent dining options, allowing golfers to relax and unwind after a challenging round.

With its beautiful landscape, outstanding facilities, and storied history, this incredible golfing facility is a testament to the enduring relationship between the US Armed Forces and the Philippines.
