Asian Tour to Return to Vietnam for Inaugural Championship in 2027

San Golf Long Thanh

The Asian Tour will return to Vietnam in 2027 after a three-year absence, with the inaugural Vietnam Golf Championship scheduled to take place at Long Thanh Golf Club from 1–4 April.

The four-day tournament will offer a US$500,000 prize purse,
marking the Tour’s return to a country that is seeking to strengthen its
presence on the international professional golf calendar.

The event will be promoted by VFXG, an organisation with
nine years of experience staging the CIFE Annual Charity Golf Tournaments. The
Vietnam Golf Championship represents a step into professional tournament golf
for the promoter, which aims to build on its existing event experience.

Brandon Vuong, Tournament Co-Director at VFXG, said the
championship was an opportunity to bring international professional golf back
to Vietnam through collaboration with local and regional partners.

Long Thanh Golf Club was named Best Championship Course at the Vietnam Golf & Leisure Awards 2026.

The championship also arrives as Vietnam’s golf industry continues to develop its international profile. The 2026 Vietnam Golf Industry Conference, organised alongside the awards in cooperation with the Asian Golf Industry Federation, brought together representatives from the golf, tourism and business sectors.

For the Asian Tour, the April event restores Vietnam to its tournament schedule after a three-year gap. For the country’s professional golf community, it provides another opportunity to host international competition and showcase Vietnamese golf on a regional stage.
