Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum has made history once again, capturing an unprecedented fourth Hero Women’s Indian Open title with a remarkable final-round performance in New Delhi.
The 36-year-old produced a bogey-free, seven-under-par 65 at DLF Golf & Country Club on 25 October, finishing at 11-under-par and four strokes ahead of India’s Vani Kapoor.
Four Titles. One Historic Achievement.

The victory adds to Phatlum’s previous Indian Open triumphs in 2008, 2009 and 2012, making her the first player to win the tournament four times. Remarkably, it came 14 years after her last appearance in India.
Beyond the record books, the win carried particular personal significance. Phatlum revealed that she had considered retiring from professional golf earlier this year, but her latest success has renewed her motivation to continue competing.
The title marked her 23rd professional career victory and prompted her return to Ladies European Tour membership.
With her confidence restored, Phatlum now heads to the Wistron Ladies Open in Chinese Taipei, carrying fresh momentum into the next chapter of an already distinguished career.
